VINNY’s is a brand famous for its continuous reinterpretations of the classic loafer with designs that nevertheless remain timeless. Every loafer carrying the VINNY’s name has been handmade using small-scale production methods in a responsibly run, family-owned workshop in Portugal who have been making tailored footwear of the highest quality for three generations.
“Do good, have fun, and the money will come” is the VINNY’s motto, so it is perhaps unsurprising that the brand is so enamoured with the classic Penny Loafer. The name “penny loafer” itself comes from students at America’s Ivy League universities in the 1960 who often kept a penny under the wide strip on the vamp. Today, the model remains just as popular as when it was first conceived.
