Which sunglasses suit me?

Published 2023-05-09A basic principle is to choose a model that contrasts with your face shape - so it can be good to know which face shape you have. For example, round frames soften an angular face, while angular frames contour a round face. With this guide, we hope to navigate you in the search for your sunglasses, which can be worn season after season.
- Always choose CE-marked frames with UV protection
- Choose the size of your sunglasses based on the size of your face
- Make sure your pupils are in the centre of the sunglasses
- The frames should not be higher than your eyebrows

Oval face shape

The oval face shape is very similar to the oblong, however there are some details that distinguish the shapes from each other. An oval face is characterised by soft proportions and is thus a face shape that suits most sunglasses models. Therefore, we hit the nail on the head for square frames, pilot frames or wayfarers as these highlight your natural facial features.

Oblong face shape

An oblong face shape, on the other hand, is characterised by high cheekbones and a high forehead. Like the oval face shape, the oblong face shape fits most sunglasses. So do not be afraid to experiment a little. We recommend an oversized model or wide frames. Here we once again recommend the classic aviator frames - for those of you who want to play it safe.
Angular face shape

An angular face shape is characterised by a deep forehead, wide chin and sharp cheekbones. Those with an angular face shape, a thinner frame fits well, this to soften the otherwise sharp features somewhat. Oval or round frames are thus the perfect choice.

The heart-shaped face shape is characterised by a broad forehead, small chin and high cheekbones. To balance the different widths of the face, we suggest a model with sharp frames. A rectangular shape harmonises with the heart shaped face. Aviators are an example of a model that exaggerates the width of the forehead or the narrowness of the chin, therefore a rectangular shape is a the perfect choice for a heart shaped face.
