It all began in Montana in 1973 when nature and mountaineering enthusiast Mark Epperson lacked a backpack that met his needs. That's when he began the search for the perfect backpack, which eventually resulted in him making his own. Word of Epperson's backpacks spread and with an increased demand, Mark opened his own shop in Libby, Montana where he handmade all the backpacks one by one.
The brand still manufactures its products in the USA, made by craftsman to ensure long-term strength, function and durability. After production, all products are inspected by the Meg Company in California, to uphold Mark Epperson's desire for eternal quality.
