Part of the Meisterstück Literary Edition Collection of designs paying homage to influential works of literature. The image of a steamboat riding the waves adorning its cap represents the beginning of Phileas Fogg's global adventure. The symbol on the barrel recalls the bet placed between Fogg and his associates that led to his journey. The engraving "18 80 DAYS" on the pen top refers to the 18 days it took Fogg to prepare for his voyage and the 80 days he took to travel around the world.
