Rolex, founded in 1905 is considered by many to be the uncrowned king of the watch world. In 1926, Rolex created the world's first waterproof watch, called the "Oyster". The model is still central to Rolex today. Rolex's rugged and water-resistant steel watches embody the image of reliable, classic professional tools for divers as well as pilots, racing drivers and special military forces.

Rolex vintage watches are highly sought after today, and often have a higher market value than a new Rolex. The more interesting the watch's history, its provenance, the higher its value is considered. Buying a used Rolex is thus a win-win for both buyer and seller. Since the brand's sales model has made new Rolex watches difficult to buy, Rolex vintage is a great gateway.
