About Piacenza Cashmere
Current director Carlo Piacenza is the thirteenth generation of Piacenza to run the eponymous family business. With roots dating back to 1733, Piacenza Cashmere has acquired an unparalleled wealth of knowledge and experience in the handling and use of wool. All production takes place in Pollone, Italy, where the company’s centuries of expertise are combined with technological innovation.
As the name suggests, cashmere is at the heart of the business, as it has been since Marco and Guido Piacenza’s Himalayan expedition in the early 1900s. There, they became captivated by the nomadic lifestyle of the local goatherds. In turn, this led them to discover the almost magically soft wool of the cashmere goat.
